Hey Everyone! Well, I have just uploaded a brand new collection of works! I am excited about a lot of these new pieces. I feel my work is moving in a very fulfilling direction. One thing is for sure, the layering is a huge part of my process. A professor once reminded me that a painting must get ugly first, before it achieves its true beauty. I have grown to embrace this thought to where it is completely necessary! (Example Rt: "Loving You", oil on canvas, 48 x 60)
Please take a look at my website. But, I have to tell you that the computer screen just won't due these pieces true justice. The textures, the layering, glazing, and sometimes delicate marks make their best impact in person! So, if you aren't doing anything this weekend, come to the Country Club Plaza Art Fair! This is truly one of my favorite shows of the year! It is so nice to see old friends and meet the new as well.
