Tomorrow, Wednesday September 4, 2013 Lifestyle Publications is celebrating 4 years! They are having a wonderful city-wide networking event at an incredible event space... The Bean Hangar by the Roasterie!
The exciting part for me at is that I will be painting a large original piece during this event that will be auctioned off by the end of the evening! The proceeds will go to an amazing charity that is very dear to my heart! MANNA Africa. (I will write more about this amazing charity in another blog posting. But, the things they are doing to help people in need are AMAZING! It literally only takes $28.00 a month to provide a child with the proper nutrition they need to thrive! So I have HUGE hopes that we can feed a lot of children through the auctioning off of this painting! ) I have yet in my lifetime to have created one piece of art completed in a 2 hour period! So, this should be very exciting and a little nerve wrecking!! Yikes! I am also very honored to say that Utrecht Art Supplies of KC has sponsored me with my supplies to make this one painting in one night possible! They are an amazing supporter of our community of artists! The people at Utrecht are not only friends, but they are working artists that have wonderful knowledge, and the best materials around! I Love them, and have been using their materials for years!
So, come enjoy the evening and have a chance to get an original painting of mine, support an unbelievable charity that feeds children, and network with fellow professionals of Kansas City! Tina Garrett, and Jim Ware will also be creating original works of art to be auctioned. They too will be donating their proceeds to a wonderful charity of their choice! How great is that?!
Lifestyle Magazine in Lee's Summit has been a wonderful supporter of my career. Kendra Mathewson wrote a very wonderful featured article about me, and even put on of my paintings on the cover! It was a huge honor to represent my home town of Lee's Summit in this way! I can't thank them enough! Here is a link to the article if you didn't have a chance to read it.
