I posted a couple of months ago a piece that I completed for
KC Young Variety. They are a fabulous charity that helps kids who have disabilities! I love this organization because they really help kids live a normal life. One thing they do is they gift them adaptive bikes that they can ride just like any other kid. Through my work with disabled people I have learned that they just wanted to be treated normal. They want to be included in the every day activities that most people take for granted. They want to be able to work, have a home, take care of themselves just like everyone else does. As children they have dreams, and with the help of organizations like KC Young Variety they take away some of the limitations they might have on these dreams! These kids are amazing the obstacles that they overcome. They have a true LOVE for life that I believe in giving that same love back!
I encourage all of you to go to the
Mission Farms "hooray for the holidays" website and find a piece of art that you love, and BID!! All of these pieces are worth so much more money than they are going for right now. All of the artists put a lot of love into these works. You won't ever find a WIN, WIN situation like this! You could help make a kids dream come true, and own a piece of original ART! YEAH!
